Edward Xie, MD MSc DTMH is an assistant professor and emergency physician at the University of Toronto. His interests center on health equity and structural determinants of health, with key areas of work in homelessness, addictions, global health, and planetary health. Dr. Xie is a member of the boards of directors of the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment and Global Health Emergency Medicine (ghem.ca). He works with Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders on climate change, health, and humanitarian issues and is a Fellow of the Centre for Sustainable Health Systems at UofT
